What are the rates for booking Château de Lasfonds?

Château de Lasfonds is available for exclusive bookings, offering you the full grandeur of the castle, its serene gardens, and charming outbuildings.

Pricing is based on the season:

High Season (May – October): The warm summers and colourful autumns at the Château are priced at €19,980 per week, with the luxury of a heated pool for you to enjoy.

Low Season (November – April): Cozy up during the cooler months or watch the estate bloom in spring at €14,900 per week.

To secure your booking, an initial 30% payment of the total rent is required, with the balance due prior to your arrival. Please note our cancellation policy is strict. However, we do offer a one-time date change subject to availability.

There is a one-week minimum for renting the Château, and a refundable security deposit of 3,000 euros is required. The rental price includes CVAT and tourism tax.

Is it possible to book just one room at the Château de Lasfonds?

The Château is rented exclusively as a single property to ensure complete privacy and enjoyment for our guests, and we do not offer individual room rentals. This means you will have the entire property to yourself for the duration of your stay.

Can two different groups book the Château at the same time?

To maintain exclusivity and privacy, we only accommodate one group at a time. This ensures that you and your guests can enjoy the Château’s facilities to the fullest without sharing the space with other parties.

What is the minimum stay requirement at Château de Lasfonds?

We require a minimum stay of 7 days to fully immerse in the Château experience, regardless of the season.

How can I rent the entire Château for exclusive use?

Renting Château de Lasfonds for exclusive use is simple:

Accommodation

What are the house rules at Château de Lasfonds?

To ensure all guests have a memorable and safe experience, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following house rules:

• Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all indoor areas. Our sensitive alarms will trigger an immediate re-
sponse if smoke is detected.

• Pool Safety: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when using the pool, despite the presence of an
alarm system.

• Pets: Pets are not permitted inside the Château. Accommodations can be made for pets to stay in the outbuild-
ings. Please inquire in advance.

• Security: Please lock all doors and windows upon exiting the premises, and ensure the main gate is secured.

• Respect Property: Enjoy the amenities offered, but kindly return items to their original places after use. Towels
and robes are provided for your stay but must remain on the property.

• Kitchen Use: You are welcome to use the kitchen, but we ask that you clean up afterward.

• Fireplace: To use the fireplaces in the Château and the outbuildings, we ask you to strictly follow the instructions provided on-site.

• Art and Decor: Please respect the artwork and the interior decor by not touching or altering them.

• Floor Care: Please remove shoes on the 1st and 2nd floors to protect our carpets.

• Noise: We have no specific noise restrictions but ask that you be considerate of others.

• Damage: If accidental damage occurs, such as a broken item, please inform us immediately. For more significant
damages, compensation may be required.

How many guests can the Château accommodate?

Château de Lasfonds can comfortably accommodate up to 18 people across the Outbuildings and the Château itself. Baby cots are available upon request, and certain rooms include sofa beds suitable for children or additional family members. Please contact us for detailed arrangements.

What amenities are provided in each room?

Each room is furnished with a luxurious king bed, night light, wardrobe, and seating. You’ll also find high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. Selected rooms feature additional comforts including a pantry, television, work desk, and air conditioning.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Guests can check in starting at 3 pm and are asked to check out by 10 am on their departure day. If you require flexibility with these times, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What is the cancellation policy at Château de Lasfonds?

We have a strict no-cancellation policy. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Should you need to change your reservation, we offer the opportunity to reschedule your stay within 3 months, subject to availability.

Is the Château family-friendly?

The Château welcomes families and provides baby cots and a pool alarm. However, the property is not specifically childproofed, and we advise constant adult supervision for young children.

Is the Château pet-friendly?

While our groundskeeper’s dog is present on the estate, pets are not permitted within the Château. Pets may only be housed in the outbuildings, and this must be arranged beforehand. Should any damage be caused by pets, appropriate compensation will be required.

Amenities, Services and Facilities

Is the pool heated?

The pool is equipped with a heating system that is activated during the colder seasons or upon request to ensure a comfortable swimming temperature.

Is the pool open all year round?

The pool is open for use from May to October, making the most of the warmer months.

Are there chef services or catering facilities onsite?

While Château de Lasfonds does not offer chef services, we can recommend you a variety of local chefs who can provide dining experiences upon request.

Is self-catering possible?

Yes, both the Château and the outbuildings are equipped with full kitchens and outdoor BBQ facilities, allowing you to prepare your own meals if you prefer.

Who can help me with my holiday planning?

For assistance in making your stay more comfortable and organised, we can connect you with a reputable local concierge service to cater to your needs during your holiday.

What amenities are there for children?

Children can enjoy a range of activities including a games room with table tennis, darts, table football, a large garden, PlayStation 5, and a variety of board games. We also provide cots for infants.

Are there any facilities for business meetings or conferences?

The Château offers an office space with printing and scanning capabilities. Additionally, the art salon on the ground floor can serve as a meeting space, and basic meeting equipment like flipcharts is available. Outdoor areas and the games room can also be adapted for meetings and events.

Do all the rooms have air conditioning and heating?

All bedrooms in the Château have reversible air conditioners for both cold and hot air. In addition, the whole Château has floor heating. The Outbuildings currently have fans, electric heaters, and/or ovens. The Lavender Cottage has a regular heating system. In the course of 2025, all outbuildings will be outfitted with reversible air conditioners.

Is parking available on the property?

We offer ample outdoor parking space for our guests on the property.

Do the groundkeepers speak English and French?

Yes, our groundskeepers are bilingual in English and French.

Are there fitness or wellness facilities on the property?

Our property includes a small gym and various exercising equipment. Within 1H 2025, the wellness area will be expanded to include a sauna area and massage benches.

Can you help plan special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries?

Our Château provides a perfect setting for celebrating special events. We are happy to connect you with a local event planner to assist with organising your celebration.

Is Wi-Fi available? What are the Internet speeds like? Are there any connectivity charges?

Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, ensuring a reliable internet connection for all guests.

How are the Château’s outbuildings equipped?

The outbuildings support our main facilities with additional living spaces, an outdoor dining and BBQ area, a games room, a gym, a large kitchen, and between 2024 to 2025, a sauna. For more details about the outbuildings, please click here.

Activities

Do you offer tourism or concierge services?

Our on-site groundkeepers excel in maintaining the Estate but do not provide tourism services. In order to tailor and personalize your holidays experience, we highly recommend a trusted external partner who lives in the region and specializes in recommending experiences and making arrangements for you.

We are happy to connect our guests to the provider prior to your arrival, enabling you to plan well in advance.

Can the Château accommodate weddings?

The Château opens its doors for intimate weddings. Our picturesque gardens serve as a serene backdrop for ceremonies, with ample opportunities for stunning photography throughout the estate. Nearby, there are quaint churches for traditional services. We can host a few dozen guests for such events.

As the Château is our cherished home, we carefully consider each inquiry to ensure our standards are upheld. Our concierge partner can collaborate with your wedding planner to ensure the Château de Lasfonds is the right setting for your special day.

Is the Château suitable for business retreats and team-building events?

The Château comfortably accommodates small group business gatherings. We provide essential equipment including a printer, speakers, and flipcharts for meetings. The tranquil environment and spacious settings are conducive to productive retreats and team-building exercises.

Can I use drones on the property for photography or videography?

Drone usage is permitted over the Château for capturing aerial footage. However, it’s important to comply with the French Civil Aviation Authority’s regulations. We advise checking the current legal framework before operating a drone to ensure responsible and lawful usage.

Health and Safety

Is there medical assistance available nearby?

A medical centre that is open Monday to Saturday is located about 10 minutes drive from the Château. An international-standard hospital with 24/7 emergency services is located in Angouleme, about a 35-minute drive from the Château.

Emergency care is provided for all patients in France, but certain payments for medical services may need to be made afterwards.

Is the property smoke-free or are there designated smoking areas?

Château de Lasfonds is a smoke-free environment indoors and is equipped with smoke alarms for your safety. Guests are kindly asked to only smoke in designated outdoor areas.

What measures does the Château have in place for safety and security?

The safety and security of our guests are paramount. The Château is secured with gates, surveillance cameras, and alarms. We also employ a professional security service to manage the property’s security systems. Our state-of-the-art gate operating system was installed in 2023, enhancing our secure access capabilities.

Are there any accessibility features for guests with mobility issues?

While the main Château itself is not currently equipped with wheelchair access or lifts, some of our outbuildings offer accessible accommodations with facilities on the ground level. We are happy to provide more details and assist with making appropriate arrangements for guests with mobility concerns.

Are there any sound or noise restrictions at the Château?

In accordance with French law, quiet hours are observed between 10 pm and 7 am. However, given that Château de Lasfonds is situated in a private area without immediate neighbours, a reasonable level of noise is typically acceptable outside these hours. We ask that guests be considerate and maintain a respectful volume to avoid disturbances. For specific inquiries or clarifications regarding noise, please reach out to us.

Who do I call in case of an emergency?

All relevant information will be available for you upon your arrival. Additionally, the property’s caretaker can help in case of emergencies.

Email us your preferred dates and the number of guests in your group. We will check availability, send a questionnaire to learn more about your needs, and set up a call to discuss your plans.

STEP 2

After our call, we will send a proposal with all the details and terms for you to sign, followed by payment instructions to finalise your booking. Once settled, upon your request, we can connect you with our external concierge partner who will gladly assist you in tailoring your stay and organising activities.
